Here’s what you need:
- Barn box flashing
- Floral foam (pre-soaked for 2-3 hours)
- A drywall knife (or a butter knife for the kiddos)
- Fresh soil
If you’re replacing flowers, use a drywall knife to loosen the old soil and remove it. (Without removing the flashing, of course.) If this is a new barn box, make sure the inside is lined with flashing before you start.
Use the drywall knife to cut your floral foam into even sections and place in the barn box.
Add just a little bit of water to the floral foam.
Cover the top of the floral foam with soil.
Cut the flowers to an appropriate size and push them down into the floral foam.
Try to say “floral foam” really fast 5 times.
