A friend of mine has always made her own laundry detergent and fabric softener and always raves about how amazing and cost effective it is, so I thought I would give it a whirl. I made a batch of homemade fabric softener this weekend and it was so easy to do. I love when I can save money and make a product that is easy and super effective. Give it a try!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 5 cups hot water
• 3 cups vinegar
• 1 cup hair conditioner (don’t use your expensive conditioner—I bought a bottle at the dollar store and it worked perfectly)

Mix 5 cups of hot water and 1 cup of conditioner together in medium bowl. Make sure that the water is very hot so it can smooth any clumps that may be in the conditioner. Mix in vinegar and pour in container to store. This is equivalent to store bought fabric softener, so use as you would regular fabric softener.
