Sweet and Savory Valentine’s Chocolate Bark

Molly and I wanted to make some sweet Valentine’s treats for her little friends, so we came up with this Sweet and Savory Valentine’s Chocolate Bark. Between the chocolate and the sea salt potato chips in this heart-shaped bark recipe, I had to stop myself from eating all of them! Try making some for yourself this Valentine’s Day—I promise you won’t be disappointed!

2 cups white chocolate chips
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
Valentine’s colored M&Ms
Valentine’s colored sprinkles
Krinkle cut sea salt potato chips, crushed
Heart-shaped silicone mold


Start by putting the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a heat-safe glass bowl and melting the chocolate over low heat in a double boiler. Make sure you stir the melting chocolate frequently to keep it from overheating. To create a double boiler, simply place your heat-safe glass bowl in a pot of boiling water, making sure that the bowl doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot. While the chocolate is melting, fill the bottom of your heart molds with sprinkles and M&Ms.


Once the chocolate has melted, quickly pour a little bit of chocolate into the molds (just enough to cover the M&Ms and sprinkles), then fill the mold with a bit of crushed potato chips. Finally, fill the rest of the mold with melted chocolate and set aside to dry for a couple of hours.

Once your bark has completely dried, pop them out of the molds and give them out along with your Valentine’s grams. Enjoy!
