It’s fall, which means it’s apple season, so I thought it would be fun to make homemade Baked Apple Cinnamon Chips. Molly is obsessed with these chips and they are super easy to make. They’re the perfect fall snack and my house smells like a warm cinnamon apple pie once they are baked. It’s something different to do during the fall and will be a sure winner in your home, guaranteed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3 apples thinly sliced- any variety
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Preheat oven to 225 degrees F. Slice your apples using a mandoline slicer so you can get even thin slices. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl; put the apples in the bowl and toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Arrange apples slices on a metal baking sheet. (I would suggest spraying a light coat of non-stick spray so they don’t stick to the pan—I didn’t do this and wish that I did.)

Bake in the preheated oven until apples are dried. At the 30-minute mark, remove the apples and flip them to cook the other side. Place back in the oven and continue to cook for another 30 minutes. Once they are dried, remove them from the cookie sheet and let them cool on a wire rack. They will be nice and crispy, and the perfect fall snack.
