Banana Ice Cream

I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth, however, once in a while I will crave a scoop of ice cream. I remember when I was a kid, my mom would make homemade ice cream with frozen bananas. I whipped up a batch and added a little peanut butter and chocolate chips per Molly’s suggestion. Ice cream doesn’t have to be super unhealthy. It was delicious and it stores well in the freezer.

What you will need

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips

Peel the frozen bananas and cut them into chunks. Add them to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add whatever ingredients you choose (we added some peanut butter and chocolate chips) and give it a whirl for 30 seconds. Serve right away or store in an airtight container in your freezer.
