Pork Roast in a Bag


What you will need

  • 1 tbsp. of all-purpose flour
  • 1 lg. size oven-cooking bag
  • 2 large apples quartered
  • 10-12 carrots, chopped
  • 1 large onion, cubed
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • 1 tsp. of pepper
  • 2 tsp. of rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1 (3lb.) pork roast

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Season the pork with salt and pepper on the outside of roast. Spray pan with Pam. Add 2 tablespoons of flour in an oven cooking bag and shake to coat bag. Place the roast in the bag. Add chopped onion, garlic, rosemary, bay leaves, carrots, and apples to the bag.

Pour 2 cups of BBQ sauce into the bag and fasten. Punch 6 holes into the top of the bag, then place into the oven.

Cook for about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 160 degrees. Let stand for about 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6-8 servings.
